Overview

GEOpedia is an innovative solution for publishing multimedia contents and social interaction with users, in a geo-referenced mode. It is a web-based system that allows you to capture, store and classify media content relating to particular places and events and publish them on the web through an interactive world map for intuitive and immediate access by users.
The system allows you to manage and publish data from sources / database owners or uploaded directly from the user (UGC - user generated content). GEOpedia is a 5D platform which characterizes and describes places, objects and events in a geo-referenced mode according to 5 dimensions - latitude, longitude, altitude, date and weight -, stores them in a database and presents them in an intuitive mode on a map, offering features access, uploading and posting to users quickly and easily.
It offers both private tourist companies and the local public institutions an innovative and effective way to present the owned assets and / or territory and to interact with customers, local users and tourists on the experiences on site, to activate and enliven the community interest and collect views by visitors. It also offers statistical analysis tools to the operator on the relevance and attending places, events and streams in the area, offering an effective tool for strategic planning and local marketing and product.
